Our Practice Areas

The estate planning practice at Paré Law  understands that all families have different needs and different goals.  The attorneys at Paré Law do not believe in one size fits all solutions.  At Paré Law we will sit down with you and listen.  Our goal is to understand your situation and then to implement a plan to distribute and manage your assets upon your incapacity or at your demise through the use of wills, revocable living trusts, special needs trusts or supplemental needs trusts, durable powers of attorney, living wills, account re-titling and beneficiary designations.

When appropriate, we also utilize more complex estate planning techniques and strategies, including, but not limited to, life insurance trusts, grantor retained annuity trusts, intentionally defective grantor trusts, spousal limited access trusts, generation skipping trusts, family limited partnerships, charitable trusts and gifting plans.

At Pare Law we want you to leave our office breathing a sigh of relief with a sense of peace of mind and confidence that your loved ones will be taken care of.

The business planning practice at Paré Law handles all aspects of business formation, corporate governance, closely held family businesses, reorganizations, tax free mergers and acquisitions, sales and purchases.  We help our start up business clients choose between organizing as a limited liability company, limited partnership, general partnership, limited liability partnership or corporation.  In conjunction with the clients’ accountant, we provide guidance on how the new business should be taxed.  We draft formation documents, including, but not limited to operating agreements, partnership agreements and buy sell agreements.

For our business clients that are up and running, we understand that your business is constantly changing and with it so are your needs.  We help corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships satisfy their reporting obligations, establish policies for employee compensation, executive compensation, officer and director compensation, negotiate commercial lease agreements, implement non compete agreements as well as other strategic planning and business advice.

The attorneys at Paré Law have an extensive tax background and, in addition to the above,  tax free mergers and acquisitions and other tax efficient exit strategies.

The death or incapacity of a loved one and/or family member is never an easy time.  At Paré Law, our attorneys understand both the emotional and legal aspects that face individuals nominated as Trustee, Personal Representative, Executor, and Agent under a Power of Attorney.  These nominations are jobs, and we help our clients navigate the probate process and administering their loved ones wills and trusts.

Through the implementation of trusts and certain business structures the attorneys at Paré Law can protect your most valuable assets from potential creditors and predators in advance of a claim or the threat of a claim.  Asset protection planning is a form of wealth planning and involves a careful review of your liability exposure, assets and goals and objectives.
